- my birthday on the 23rd

- the new issue of nylon magazine

featuring gossip girl's blake lively & leighton meester

- going to jay jay johanson's live performance on the 24th

- the long-awaited sex & the city movie release on the 30th

- developing my latest design project along with a 

new creative collaboration.

eterno dilema. el sí, el no.

-cuando en una fiesta-

sí. make an entrance / asegúrate de tener siempre

un trago en la mano / sé cordial y saluda a cuanta persona 

reconozcas [ si no recuerdas su nombre, llámalo -cariño- ].

no. ser el primero en llegar y el último en irse / permanecer

más de cinco minutos con personas que consideras aburridas 

[ si no puedes huir, habla de ti mismo ] / rechazar drogas, evita

lucir como santurrón y mejor responde que buscas algo más fuerte.

-cuando de viaje-

sí. haz un research previo para que tengas una idea más clara de

que es lo que quieres conocer / socializa con algún local para que

tengas el inside scoop de los hotspots / el idioma nenes, al

menos lo básico, pretty please?

no. viajar en tours de paquete / usar siempre tennis, ropa cómoda y

cara lavada -por dios, no lo hagan- / visitar sólo los puntos 

turísticos y peor aún, comprar en souvenir shops 

[ considéralo al menos tu última opción ].

-cuando de compras-

sí. piensa en el kilometraje de las piezas que estás comprando

 / probarte to-do. / indulge. at least once in a lifetime. 

no. total looks / esperar a la temporada de rebajas para llenar

tu clóset con la excusa de que -lo usarás el próximo año- 

[ you probably won't ] / overspend [ créeme, necesitarás dinero

para lucir los nuevos numeritos ].

-cuando seleccionando un outfit-

sí. ten un espejo a la mano, por favor / combinar cheap

con chic / experimenta, si no funciona, bótalo.

no. copiar looks, copiar nunca está padre / creer que la transición

del día a la noche está completa sólo con reaplicarte el desodorante /

intentarlo demasiado, un gran estilo es frecuentemente

effortless.

sí. intenta convertirte en quien quieres ser  / pierde con alguien

y haz que alguien pierda contigo / -conoce primero quien eres, y 

después adórnate en consecuencia-.

05. t shirts con deep v-neck.

06. mencionar miles de grupos en tu lista de gustos musicales y 

conocer sólo una o dos canciones. que oso.

07. creer que el diseño de moda es el nuevo hobbie y tener 

el atrevimiento de llamarte diseñador solo por haberle cortado las 

mangas a una prenda de segunda.

08. pensar que ver regularmente style.com te hace un experto 

en moda. hello?.

09. incluir en tu top de myspace a una gran cantidad 

de gente que no conoces. how sad.

10. desconocer el término faux pas.

11. pensar que puedes ser multifacético y no poder respaldar 

ninguna de  esas actividades con un talento real. entiéndase, 

tener una cámara digital ó un programa de computación no te 

convierte en fotógrafo ni artista visual.

12. los cortes de cabello asimétricos. los cabellos decolorados

o cualquier procedimiento [ casero o no ] que te haga lucir 

como una moderna. 

13. carecer de una identidad propia.
